Auburn police have confirmed that a motorcyclist died following a crash on Route 4 on Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, emergency personnel were summoned to the vicinity of 2527 Turner Road. In a recent incident, it has been reported that a pickup truck, which was towing a trailer, was involved in a collision with a motorcyclist. The incident occurred as the pickup truck was exiting the parking lot of Wallingford’s Equipment, while the motorcyclist was travelling in a northbound direction.

The motorcyclist, whose identity remains undisclosed pending notification of their family, has reportedly succumbed to their injuries. The truck driver emerged from the incident unharmed.

As of 4:30 p.m., a closure has been implemented on Route 4 in order to facilitate the crash reconstruction efforts conducted by Auburn and Lewiston police.

Investigation is ongoing.
