Lee went through rehab after serious marijuana and methamphetamine abuse at age 12. And she got clean at 17. After graduating from Poway High School in Poway, California, he left his parents’ house. At age 18, Robert Jr began working in restaurants and coffee shops while also attending Palomar College.
In 1994, Lee took his first step towards his dream when he lost his job at the coffee shop after the business closed. Later, she worked odd jobs at the La Jolla Comedy Store in San Diego. Afterwards, she tested her stand-up skills at the club during one of the amateur nights. Then, before long, she received offers to open for Pauly Shore and Carlos Mencia. Lee also got a legitimate job at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, owned by Mitzi, Pauly Shore’s mother.

Surprisingly, Bobby went back to doing drugs when a Mad Tv producer told him that they wouldn’t use him much on the show because he’s not funny enough. He ended his years of sobriety. Fortunately, he was off drugs and sober again shortly after MadTV producer Lauren Dombrowski’s intervention in her case on the show.
The comedian’s other projects include appearances in movies and shows such as ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ in 2002, ‘Animal Practice’ in 2012, ‘The Dictator’ in 2012, ‘Hangover’ in 2010 and the British sitcom ‘Laid’ in America. in 2016. He then started a weekly podcast called Tigerbelly in 2016, in collaboration with his wife, Khalyla Kuhn.
