Bing Worthington, Snoop Dogg’s beloved younger sibling, passed away at the age of 44. The rapper and entrepreneur announced his brother’s passing in three Instagram posts on Friday.
The first image Snoop Calvin Broadus Jr. shared, showed him smiling with Bing and their nephew, Rollin Carter; he simply captioned the post.
A second post featured a video of Snoop and Worthington in a cemetery with their family, which included their older brother, Jerry Wesley Carter. “@badabing33 always made us laugh you back with moms,” he penned.
The 52-year-old California rapper is going through a difficult period in his personal life, especially since his 24-year-old daughter, Cori Broadus, suffered a “severe stroke” earlier this year, and the news of his brother’s death has devastated him.
Worthington first worked as a roadie before becoming Snoop’s tour manager. He was Snoop’s maternal half-brother.
Snoop also shared a tender throwback snap of Bing spending time with their late mother, Beverly Tate, and presenting her with a cake. The hip-hop legend expressed his belief that Bing had reconnected with Beverly, who died in 2021.
She passed away just weeks after the rapper’s 24-year-old daughter, Cori Broadus, suffered a stroke. Snoop Dogg‘s video showed him with two of his brothers, Bing and Jerry, at a cemetery. Bing added humor to Snoop’s footage with his witty remarks, which made everyone laugh.
The 52-year-old musician also shared a family photo with everyone smiling and laughing, as well as another photo of the pair posing while Worthington threw up a peace sign.
“Until we meet again,” he captioned the final tribute.
Since news of Bing’s death broke, there has been a growing interest in the life of Snoop Dogg’s brother.
Apart from being a businessperson with his music labels, Bing was also a hardcore fan of the Buffalo Bills, as shown in his Instagram posts. He had more than 7,300 social media followers.
In a 2016 interview, Worthington revealed that he co-wrote the song “Be Thankful,” which appeared on Snoop’s rap group The Eastsidaz’s debut album in 2000. He once stated in an interview that he enjoys remaining mysterious.
“When I put the [Lifestyle] album out, I was putting everything in the music together. My guy was a great rapper, but I was like, ‘Why am I working on the music? I should be handling all of the business aspects of this.’
