Zuri Craig, who gained fame as a finalist on America’s Got Talent and as an actor in Tyler Perry’s productions, has passed away.
At the age of 44, Craig passed away on Friday, October 21, as confirmed by his family. The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
The family’s statement reads;
“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Zuri Craig.
“We appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Please respect our privacy as we grieve during this difficult time.”
In 2015, Craig made a significant impact on AGT with his singing partner, Jeffrey Lewis, delivering powerful renditions of songs by James Brown and Mary J. Blige, ultimately finishing in fifth place.
Craig also had the opportunity to work on Tyler Perry’s productions including Madea’s Big Happy Family, Madea Gets a Job, and A Madea Christmas.
