Zayn Malik has reportedly pleaded no contest to charges of harassment leveled by ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid and her mother, Yolanda.
According to court documents, the charges in question pertain to an incident in late September wherein the former One Direction singer allegedly "grabbed [Yolanda] and shoved her into a dresser, causing mental anguish and physical pain."
Malik also reportedly verbally assaulted the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star with "continuous cursing" and a warning to "stay away from [his] f—ing daughter."
Malik told TMZ, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid," but People sources have countered that while he did not "slap" Yolanda, he had her in "an aggressive hold."
The singer was also charged with harassment against the younger Hadid, with whom Malik shares 13-month-old daughter Khai. He allegedly called the model and told her to "strap on some f—ing balls and defend your partner against your f—ing mother in my house."
Malik was met with one additional charge by security guard John McMahon, with whom Malik tried to "physically engage in a fight ... while continually cursing at him."
The 28-year-old will face 360 days of probation in total (90 for each of the four charges). In addition, he is required to take both an anger management course and enroll in a domestic violence program and is restricted from having any contact with either Yolanda or McMahon.
News of the incident in question was made public on Thursday, when Malik posted a message on Twitter regarding a "private family matter" that had been "'leaked' to the press."
